Phyllis Rakow is a JCAHPO-Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist, an NCLE Advanced-Certified Master Contact Lens Technician, and an Honored Fellow of the Contact Lens Society of America. She brings almost 40 years of experience in the contact lens field to The Princeton Eye Group and works closely with Dr. Miedziak in fitting patients with keratoconus and other corneal problems.
She has written numerous journal articles, contributed seven chapters to textbooks, authored a textbook on contact lenses for technicians, and lectures on contact lenses throughout the United States. She served a three year term on the Board of Directors of the Contact Lens Society of America, is current Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Contact Lens Examiners, and is a member of the Advisory Panel of the Rigid Gas Permeable Lens Institute.
