Dr. Tiffani Methvien received her Doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry along with a certificate of excellence in patient care. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Arts from Rider University.
After advanced academic and medical studies, Dr. Methvien completed multiple clinical externships with honors, specializing in the treatment of ocular diseases at Fort Belknap Indian Health Service Hospital in Harlem, Montana, U.S. Naval Hospital Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, and Albany Medical Hospital Veteran Association in Albany, NY. Furthermore, during her externship at the Global Vision Rehabilitation Center in Miami, FL, Dr. Methvien focused on specialization in contact lenses. Prior to her graduation, she completed her contact lens rotation, with honors, at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, PA.
In her academic pursuits, Dr. Methvien was an active member in the Contact Lens Club, a Student Ambassador for Salus University, and completed a student fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Methvien received recognition from Visionary Optics and Conforma Labs for excellence in patient care treatment with contact lenses.
Dr. Methvien works closely with Dr. Miedziak in managing keratoconus focusing on providing customized care of corneal diseases and pathology with the latest in contact lens technology, including fitting and educating on the use of Scleral Lenses. Dr. Methvien holds Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA) certification allowing her to prescribe up to date medications to treat ocular infections, emergencies, Glaucoma, or other eye related illnesses or injuries needing medication. Dr. Methvien also performs comprehensive eye exams and is accepting new patients. She is a member of the Scleral Lens Society, New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians and the American Optometric Association.
