Congratulations to Dr. Stephen Felton, the founder of the Princeton Eye Group, who has retired after 42 years of distinguished practice.
Through his career, Dr. Stephen M. Felton was regularly named as one of America’s Top Doctors, a board-certified physician who received his ophthalmology training at Wills Eye Hospital.
Dr. Felton founded The Princeton Eye Group in 1980. In addition to being a medical doctor, he received a Ph.D. from Rutgers University in organic chemistry and was also a clinical professor at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He has also served as president of the medical staff of the Medical Center at Princeton.
Dr. Felton is the original pioneer of refractive surgical procedures in central New Jersey, having actively participated in the advancement from RK to PRK and LASIK surgery.
Dr. Felton was instrumental in the development of the Surgery Center of Central New Jersey, one of the busiest cataract surgery centers in New Jersey, where he served as President. Every July, Dr. Felton, along with a group of medical specialists, volunteered his time as an ophthalmologist at the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Montana.
We thank Dr. Felton for his years of service to the patients and the communities he served, as well for his leadership, generosity, and mentorship in building the Princeton Eye Group into the premiere eye care center in New Jersey.
We wish Dr. Felton a happy, healthy, and prosperous retirement.
