Dr. Epstein is an extraordinary ophthalmologist and a highly skilled surgeon. I can see why he was selected as one of NJ's top Ophthalmologists. I actually even fell asleep during the procedure, which I am told is very rare, but because the laser could sense that I was losing focus on the target, it just stopped and restarted when I focused again, and the procedure took only a minute longer than originally planned . I had postoperative discomfort for about 5 hours which is what they told me to expect, and a lot of light sensitivity (also to be expected) and then I got up this morning and can SEE!!! I went from being completely dependent on contacts and glasses to having perfect vision!! I still can't believe that it was so quick and wish I had done this years ago. I have to admit I was scared to death to have this surgery done, never having anything done to my eyes except my yearly glasses. Dr. Epstein is so caring and kind and smart that he totally put my mind at ease ( well.....almost!)
